Press Report 19th June St Ives Cycling Club hosted the latest round of the Northants Cycle Racing Association 30 mile race around their Sawtry to Alconbury circuit on Tuesday evening.The handicapped race groups riders of similar abilities together and then allows them a brief head start. In total the six small groups chase one another all vying to get to the finish line without being caught by a faster group. He had used the NCRA and club timetrial as training but that was it. I had not been on the bike all week....Read More Press Report 8th June In the Northants and District Time Trial series seven members battled the rolling hills of Northamptonshire, highest placed were Paul Davis, Mick Hodson & Phil Peacock who's individual times were fast enough to secure the team prize for St Ives CC. Terry Cooke has ridden all the rounds this year to date was rewarded with 2nd place in the age related Veterans competition and Rachel Smith did equally as well in the ladies competition....Read More Divisional Champs & NCRA Race 1 Reports from P Fielding & A Moules The race started after a 5 mile neutralised ride out from Saffron Walden.
